About Me

My life started in Beaufort, South Carolina as Brenda Lou Jenkins with an older brother and a younger sister and since then have lived in Washington, Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, back to Washington, then to California, and finally back to Texas.  I was married for 22 years and am still on good terms with my ex and his family.  I have two grown children who live in California and four furry children (cats) who live with me me now.  Yes, I am a crazy cat lady!

Hobbies include paper crafting and scrapbooking (when the cats allow me to), camping, and walking.  And I love getting together with my crafting group on Saturdays! 

​

For all the moving and changes in my life, what hasn’t changed are my values.  Family, friends, community, working together, listening, having empathy, and providing service to others has always been my guiding lights.  Sprinkle in paper crafts, puzzles, games, sunshine, and time spent with family and friends and I’ve got a pretty amazing life!

Eight of those years with Nevada County in California as the Community Development Agency Administrative Assistant and HR Representative.
